Mercaz USA/ Women's League for Conservative Judaism Essay Contest
In their ongoing efforts to link the Jews of the diaspora to the people and land of Israel, Women's League for Conservative Judaism and Mercaz sponsor a biennial essay contest for teenagers. The winners receive scholarships for movement-sponsored trips and study programs in Israel. Entry forms and questions are posted on www.mercazusa.org. www.mercaz.ca, and www.wlcj.org

Join the rabbis from Congregation Beth Tikvah, Congregation Beth El and Temple Beth Sholom for 10 sessions of in-depth study. We will explore the sources that influenced Maimonides as well as his impact on future generations. These advanced classes will include guided "hevruta" study of texts in both Hebrew and English.
Classes to be held at Kellman Brown Academy, 1007 Laurel Oak Road, Voorhees. Classes run from January 19, 2010 through March 23, 2010
Registration ($25)and book distribution will occur at the first session on January 19.

Members pre-buy shares of the food grown at Honey Brook and get 25 weekly deliveries of produce and herbs starting in May.
