MIDRASHAH
Midrashah is a community-wide Hebrew Junior College for 11th and 12th grade
graduates of TBS' Hebrew High School and 9th grade and up graduates of local
day schools. Midrashah students can choose to attend on Tuesday night,
Thursday night or both. Classes are held at the Katz Jewish Community
Center in Cherry Hill. Dozens of courses are offered, and all are elective,
so students are free to explore subjects that excite them the most about Judaism. Midrashah
faculty
are rabbis, professors, or professionals from across the spectrum of Jewish
life, who are passionate about the subjects they teach and understand
teenagers. Subject matter includes classic text, Conversational Hebrew,
Yiddish, the arts, history, Jewish civics, contemporary issues, Israel, the
Middle East, comparative religion, and more.
