Torah Fund Pins
For over forty years, Torah Fund has issued distinctive pins, designed by outstanding artists, which have been worn with pride by women across the continent. Many women have assembled an archive of these pins going back decades.
Women's League is delighted to make available, once again, many of these beautiful pins. Arrangements have been made to reproduce the pins that were designed by the famed Judaica artist Ludwig Wolpert, who was artist-in-residence at The Jewish Museum for many years. This is an opportunity to fill in gaps in your personal collection or to give these pins as gifts.
2007-2008 Torah Fund Pin - KOL ISHAH — A Woman's Voice
This year's Torah Fund pin commemorates the 20th Anniversary of the investiture of women cantors in the Conservative movement. By supporting Torah Fund, we exult in our fundamental role in preserving Jewish continuity in our homes, synagogues and support of Jewish education. Price: $180 each.
Who We Are
Torah Fund of Women's League for Conservative Judaism supports The Jewish Theological Seminary (New York, New York), the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies (University of Judaism, Los Angeles, California) and the Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies (Jerusalem).
For more than eighty years, Women's League has been closely linked to The Jewish Theological Seminary, the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies and its affiliated institutions through th Torah Fund Campaign.
The campaign was first launched in 1942 as a scholarship fund. In 1963, it combined with the Mathilde Schechter Residence Hall campaign which provided housing for undergraduate students. Since then, Torah Fund has been a vital source of support for JTS and its students, raising more than $66 million. Thousands of dedicated volunteers have contributed to the spiritual, aesthetic, and material well-being of the JTS community by supporting Torah Fund projects.
