Michele Golkow
Michele Golkow received her B.A. from the University of Maryland and her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Michele practices law with Ballard, Spahr, Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP in Philadelphia, specializing in Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation. She advises many non-profit clients, including several universities and schools. Michele is a past-president of Jewish Family and Children’s Services of Southern New Jersey and currently serves on its board of trustees. She is also a Board member of Uplift Solutions, a non-profit organization that supports food businesses and government to bring fresh, affordable food and other necessary services to underprivileged communities throughout the country.
Michele began serving on the Board of Trustees of Temple Beth Sholom over thirteen years ago. Her involvement at TBS started when she founded the synagogue’s Young Member’s Group to enhance synagogue life for her young family and other families with young children at TBS. She has chaired the Outreach Committee, Plus Givers Committee and High Holy Day Seating Committee, in addition to participating in many other TBS committees. She served as Vice President of Temple Beth Sholom for four years and is currently serving as Vice President again. Michele has two children, Shayna and David. Her husband, Curt, grew up at TBS and was bar mitzvahed by Rabbi Lewis. Temple Beth Sholom is an important and meaningful part of life for Michele and her whole family.
