TBS Library
The Adele and Terry Uhr Library of Temple Beth Sholom welcomes the congregation and invites you to come in and find something to enrich and enlighten your life.
The Library has something for every taste: Torah commentary, fiction - current and classic, books on life cycle events, history, cookbooks, biography, mysteries, Jewish art, holidays, prayer, Holocaust, Yiddish literature - if it has a Jewish connection, we've probably got it.There is also a large and growing film collection - check it out! Films circulate for 1 week at no charge.
Our Children's collection is extensive and a great place to bring your kids.
Over the summer, library patrons enjoyed new films, audio books and, of course, regular books. All three collections have been steadily added to, and a small collection of audio books for children has been created. Audio books have become very popular for people who travel by car, becuase they help pass the time quickly.
With the approach of the High Holy Day season, I invite you to the TBS library to make use of our many resources having to do with all of the holidays. Find out the whys and traditions of each holiday. Try a new recipe for Rosh Hashanah, find out how to build a Sukkah, or take home material to prompt Shabbat dinner table discussion about the Days of Awe, T'shuvah, or harvest festivals. Give your kids the opportunity to amaze you with what they know.
As always, the Festival of Arts, Books and Culture held at the Katz JCC is our community’s best week of authors and books and will be held this year in November. It’s definitely my favorite week of the year and not to be missed.
Library Hours:
Monday: 9:00 am -12.30 pm Tuesday: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Wednesday: 9:00 am - 12:30 pm Friday: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

I look forward to seeing everyone in the New Year and wish you all a Shanah Tova v'metukah.
