USY Basketball is off and the season is coming to a close. Unlike the Eagles, Phillies and Sixers! Mizrach is blowing away all competition and has a comfortable 2nd seed if the playoff started today. About Our USY Advisor ~ Chai Respes
You may have noticed me around the synagogue over the last year and quite possibly one of your husbands mentioned the guy on the softball team who took half the season to get used to getting up at 8:15 am on Sunday. My name is Chaim (Chai) and I am the new advisor for the TBS USY chapter.
I am a graduate of Temple University and an alumnus of AEPi. I was very active in USY as a teenager, involved with the Seashore Chapter. My time in USY was so meaningful that I participated in USY Israel Pilgrimage and was a participant on Nativ 17. After living in Israel for some time, it has become impossible to call anyplace else but there home. I have taught at numerous synagogues throughout the tri-state area, and I am the former advisor to Tifereth Israel Synagogue in Bensalem, PA.
As the summer comes to an end, rest assured the elected USY Board and I will be distributing information to TBS teens about the incredible activities we've planned in the areas of tikun olam, education, personal development and social events. We look forward to your continued support this year and hope to see you at all the events you will be hearing about soon. The countdown to a great year has begun....
