Summary |
As antisemitic incidents are on the rise around the country, I want to assure you that the safety and security of our Temple Beth Sholom community continue to be our top priority. We are regularly briefed and maintain close contact with local and national law enforcement agencies, including JFED Security, the Cherry Hill Police Department, the New Jersey State Police, the FBI, and the Department of Homeland Security.
There are numerous aspects to our security measures, encompassing both cybersecurity and physical security, as well as the relationships we have with local law enforcement, certain vendors, and our neighbors, all of which are integral to our security plan. This is in addition to all the necessary “target hardening” components already in place, including, but not limited to, the bollards and planters, interior and exterior cameras, protective film on glass doors and windows, the door entry system, etc.
We continue to take proactive steps that are both visible and not visible to our TBS community. Our JFED security guards are extra vigilant at this time and will be on-site for additional hours. We have also requested an increased police presence from the Cherry Hill Police Department. This is in addition to our ongoing security protocols. I am happy to discuss our security measures with you, so feel free to call, email, or stop by my office.
B'shalom,
Ron Safier
