Why choose the Temple Beth Sholom Religious School?

Our Community

The families of the Temple Beth Sholom Religious School are fully connected to our vibrant and diverse synagogue community. Our outstanding clergy and staff engage our families and guide our community as we raise our children. From unique Shabbat experiences for students and families to elaborate adult concerts, there are programs for everyone at TBS.

Our Families

We have a diverse group of families who participate in the TBS Religious School. Our philosophy is to welcome our families into our community and give them the tools and opportunities to grow in meaningful ways. If you feel you don’t have a particularly strong Jewish background – that’s ok! We provide formal and informal parent informational classes and our clergy and educators are always available to help. If your family does have a strong Judaic foundation we will provide ways to challenge and engage you in meaningful ways as well.

Our Students

We recognize that our students have many extra-curricular activities and live very busy lives. One of the focuses of our program is to help our children and families make meaningful decisions about religious life and participation in our community. We work with each family and every student to develop a learning plan that meets the needs of the child and family.

Our Staff

The Religious School has an outstanding, professional and experienced faculty that work with our families. The learning is individualized to meet the needs of our students. For students who require extra support, the Religious School has a Special Needs Coordinator and Hebrew Language Specialists who provide individualized learning environments.

Our Classes

Each of our classes focus on hands-on learning that give our students the skills to be thinking, practicing and confident young Jewish adults. Our curriculum gives our students a strong foundation in Torah, Hebrew, Prayer, History, Ethics, holidays and other subjects through engaging classes and learning experiences. Our students are well prepared to become Bar or Bat Mitzvah as well as participating young Jewish adults in our community.

Special Needs

Our Religious School focuses on creating diversified, inclusive learning environments for all students. If you have a child who learns differently, we will work with you to create a learning plan that meets the needs of you and your child. Our expert staff including our Special Needs Coordinator will partner with you to address an IEP or 504 plan to develop the most engaging learning environment for your child.

Our nationally recognized Religious School has been awarded the prestigious Framework of Excellence School, by United Synagogue.
