Selling the Hametz
Selling your Hametz - Symbolically getting rid of Hametz in your home
Although we symbolically destroy some hametz that we own the morning before the first Seder, we are not required to destroy all of the hametz in our possession. We are required to remove any hametz from public view in the home, but we can still store it out of sight (in boxes or a storage room that would be sealed off throughout Passover). Even though we are permitted to store it in our home, we must give up possession of this hametz throughout the days of Passover by submitting a contract. Click here by April 6th to submit the contract to authorize Rabbi Lindemann to dispose of your hametz wherever it may be stored.
This is done in accordance with the requirements and provisions of Jewish Law.
