Off to College? Please let us know!
Temple Beth Sholom strives to create strong, long-lasting relationships with its students, even after they have graduated from high school and are pursuing higher education. TBS want to be there for your children as they begin to choose their own Jewish path.
One way we can help your college student feel connected to TBS is by having the synagogue send them packages for the holidays with a warm note from Rabbi Peltz. If you would like, we will send a package to your child three times a year - Rosh Hashanah, Purim, and Passover. Each package costs $20 for a total of $60. An example of a package for Rosh Hashanah: stress relieving squeezable apple, honey sticks, a small round challah, bookmark with the dates of the Jewish Holidays for this year, and snacks. Choose which holidays you would like your child to receive packages. If your child is not on the typical two semester school year and you would still like all three packages to be sent to your child please contact Sherrie Cohen directly.
Connect with high school students...share the contact information with synagogue high school students interested in learning more about the college your student is attending. If he/she is willing to answer questions about college, please indicate so on the form.
Also let us know if your student would like an Aliyah on August 13, 20 or 27.
